Mission Statement
The Network of Sierra Leoneans in the Americas (NOSLINA) is a non-political national NGO dedicated to developing and utilizing the skills, talents, and resources of Sierra Leoneans, friends of Sierra Leone, and Sierra Leonean organizations in the diaspora and Africa, in cooperation with home-based Sierra Leoneans, for the development of the country and its people.
About NOSLINA
Since March 1998, NOSLINA has been a beacon of hope and progress for the Sierra Leonean Diaspora in the United States. Founded in the wake of the reinstatement of the democratically elected SLPP government in Sierra Leone, following the 1997 AFRC coup, NOSLINA was launched at an historic convention at Howard University in Washington, DC. Over 400 Sierra Leoneans and friends of Sierra Leone from the United States, Canada, and Europe came together, vowing to serve as watchdogs for good governance and promote infrastructural development, sound educational ideals, and firm cultural values.
